“I'll lend you for a little time, a child of mine." God said.
"For you to love while he lives, and mourn for when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty two or three,
But will you, till I call him back, Take care of him for Me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.”
“I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lane, I have selected you.
Now you will give him all your love, nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again?”
I fancied that I heard them say: "Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may,
And for happiness we've known forever grateful stay;
But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we’ve planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.”

I just saw your comment on Angie Smith's blog and came to see your blog. Tears are streaming down my face. I saw that your son was born the same day as mine. July 7th. It has been one month today. Just wanted you to know I'm praying for you as you have lost two little ones. I'm so sorry and pray God's peace for you. Hope to be able to give some encouragement and maybe gain some as well.

I continue to pray for you guys often. Praying that God gives you joy in the midst of your grief and glimpses of your babies in your daily lives. Your blog has already been such a testimony to God.
(((((hugs)))))
Hi there. My mother-in-law follows your blog and she shared it with me when she was here for a visit in July. I read as you blogged of Grayson's birth, his birthdays and when he joined his sister in their Heavenly home. I rejoiced with you for each precious day you had with your sweet son. We lost our twin sons 6 1/2 years ago. We were able to spend 2 days with Josh & 30 days with Jonah. The poem in this post is the one we had read at their memorial services. Thank you for sharing the poem and for sharing your lives. A sister in Christ, Lezlie
